Children's House (Primary Level)
The Children’s House provides an educational environment for children between the ages of three and six years. During this time of development, children readily absorb all aspects of their environment in a quest to become part of their culture. The classroom environment is specially prepared with Montessori materials that are designed for the presentation and exploration of mathematics, language, geography, botany, music, art, zoology and history.
Two areas in the classroom, Practical Life Exercises and Sensorial Materials, indirectly prepare the children to engage in academic work with joy and confidence. The children have freedom to make choices in the room, which aids in their development of responsibility and self-mastery. This environment provides a setting rich in factual and beautiful materials, where the children construct their own intelligence with meaningful and purposeful work.
