Discovering the Nature of Learning
Forest Bluff School, located near downtown Lake Bluff, Illinois and Lake Forest, Illinois, is a private Montessori school of 150 children, ages 18 months to 14 years old. Paula Polk Lillard, Jane Linari and Lynn Jessen co-founded the school in 1982 as a teacher-run school that adheres to the educational approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Our goal is to help every student reach his or her full human potential in all areas of life. Our graduates have been accepted at top-rated high schools, such as Lake Forest Academy, The Thacher School, St. Paul's and Exeter.
Due to strong retention through the eighth grade level, we currently only take applications for children ages three and under.
New families around Chicago, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, and other suburbs on the north shore most often learn about Forest Bluff through other parents
and begin with us in the Parent Child Series when pregnant or with an infant. All interested parents are welcome to call us today
